( July 31, 2014) -- Expressing “deep alarm” over Facebook’s announcement in June that it plans to collect the web browsing activities of Internet users for targeted advertising, the Transatlantic Consumer Dialogue, a group of U.S. and EU privacy organizations, recently wrote a letter asking the FTC and the Irish Data Protection Commissioner to take action to stop the company’s proposed changes.
